Pricing is honest, transparent, and set after evaluation. Not before.
We do not publish a price list because the cost of a treatment plan depends on what you actually need. The same condition can require very different protocols in different patients. A patient with early-stage osteoarthritis needs a different plan than a patient with severe end-stage arthritis. A weekend athlete with a tendon injury needs a different plan than a competitive athlete with a chronic case.
Pricing follows the diagnosis, not the diagnosis the pricing.
Every patient gets a thirty-minute free consultation to evaluate the case. After the evaluation, if we can help, we walk through the recommended protocol and exactly what it costs. You know the full price before you commit. There are no hidden fees and no surprise charges.
What the free consultation covers
The first visit is free, takes about thirty minutes, and includes:
Comprehensive history
A review of what brought you in, what you have already tried, and what you are trying to achieve.
Clinical examination
Hands-on assessment of the affected area, movement patterns, and any specific tests required to clarify the diagnosis.
Treatment recommendation
If we can help, we walk you through the recommended protocol, what each treatment involves, the realistic timeline, and the full cost of the plan in writing.
Honest assessment
If we are not the right fit, we tell you that and recommend what is.
There is no commitment to begin treatment after the consultation. You leave with information, not a sales pitch.
How treatment plans are priced
Treatment plans are priced around three factors.
01
The treatments included
Each modality has a different cost structure. Laser therapy is typically the most accessible. PRP, HA injections, hormone therapy, and weight loss support involve more comprehensive protocols and higher cost reflecting the complexity, the materials, and the ongoing monitoring.
02
The number of sessions
Most treatments are not one-and-done. Laser therapy typically runs in series of six to twelve sessions. PRP often requires a series of two to three injections. HA is typically a series of three injections. Hormone and weight loss protocols are ongoing with structured monitoring.
03
The duration of the plan
Acute cases may resolve in weeks. Chronic conditions may require multi-month protocols. Hormone and weight loss programs are typically ongoing.
You see the full plan and full cost in writing during your consultation. We do not charge for anything that has not been agreed to in advance.
Insurance and payment options
Insurance
Joint Freedom does not bill insurance directly. The reasons are structural: the insurance billing model often forces clinics to operate within narrow scopes that do not match how the body actually works, and most regenerative therapies (PRP, HA) are not covered by insurance nationwide. Operating outside the insurance billing system lets us spend the time required for comprehensive evaluation and build protocols that fit the case.
We provide receipts that you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies significantly by carrier and plan. Some patients receive partial reimbursement, others do not.
HSA and FSA
We accept HSA and FSA payments for eligible treatments. We provide the documentation required for HSA and FSA reimbursement. Most of our treatments qualify; we walk through eligibility during your consultation.
Payment plans
For qualifying treatment plans, we offer payment plans that spread the cost over the duration of the protocol. We discuss options during the consultation when relevant.
Accepted payment methods
Credit card, debit card, HSA, FSA, ACH transfer.
What we do not do
- We do not bill insurance directly.
- We do not run promotional discounts or limited-time offers on regenerative therapy.
- We do not offer treatment packages priced before the diagnosis is complete.
- We do not enroll patients in plans that do not fit their clinical case.
These boundaries make the rest of the pricing structure work.
Pricing transparency commitment
When you leave your consultation, you will know:
- The exact cost of every treatment in your recommended plan
- The expected number of sessions
- The expected timeline
- Any laboratory or imaging costs that may be additional
- What HSA, FSA, and out-of-network reimbursement options apply to your plan
- Whether a payment plan is appropriate for your case
You can take the information home and decide what you want to do. There is no pressure to commit at the consultation.
Questions about pricing
Can I get a rough cost estimate before the consultation?
We avoid quoting prices before evaluation because the protocol depends on the case. Two patients with the same diagnosis can need very different plans. The most useful answer comes from the consultation, where we can recommend a specific protocol and price it for your specific situation.
Why is the consultation free?
We want patients to make informed decisions. Free consultations remove the financial barrier to getting an honest evaluation. If we can help, we earn the patient's trust at the consultation. If we cannot, we tell them that and they leave without having paid for an unnecessary appointment.
Why are regenerative therapies (PRP, HA) more expensive than cortisone injections?
PRP requires drawing the patient's blood, processing it through specialized equipment, and injecting it under image guidance. HA uses pharmaceutical-grade hyaluronic acid that the clinic stocks. Both are more clinically complex than cortisone, the materials cost more, and both target tissue regeneration rather than just inflammation suppression. The investment reflects what the treatment actually does.
Why is hormone therapy not just buying testosterone online?
Online testosterone clinics typically operate on default protocols with minimal evaluation and minimal monitoring. The medication may produce short-term effects, but without diagnostic depth, structured ongoing labs, and clinical adjustment, results often do not hold and the underlying physiology is not addressed. The pricing reflects comprehensive baseline evaluation, structured ongoing monitoring, and clinician oversight, not just the medication itself.
What if I cannot afford the recommended plan?
Tell us. We will work with you on what is possible. Some plans can be sequenced over a longer timeline. Some cases respond to a smaller initial protocol that we can extend later. Some patients are better served by a different clinic, and we will tell you honestly when that is the case. Cost should not be a barrier to a clear answer about what is happening in your body.
