A regenerative medicine clinic for the West End
Joint Freedom serves the Short Pump community across the West Broad corridor: from Short Pump Town Center and West Broad Village to the residential neighborhoods of Wellesley, Wyndham Forest, Foxhall, and the established communities along Pouncey Tract Road.
Short Pump is one of the most active demographic pockets in the Richmond metro. The local lifestyle is built around movement: West Creek Sports Park draws youth and adult athletes year-round, the Capital Trail runs nearby for cyclists and runners, and the local club scene supports tennis, golf, and pickleball at every level. With that lifestyle comes the wear and recovery challenges we treat every day.
Our Henrico clinic is roughly fifteen minutes east via I-64 or West Broad Street. We offer the full regenerative medicine protocol library: PRP, hyaluronic acid joint injections, Class IV deep-tissue laser, hormone optimization, and medically supervised weight loss. Every protocol is delivered under the supervision of April L. Ashworth, AGPCNP-BC.

Three reasons Short Pump residents choose us
01
Built for active lives
Our patient mix in Short Pump is overwhelmingly active. Pickleball players, marathoners, golfers, cyclists, lifters, and competitive masters athletes. We schedule, treat, and follow up with timelines built around sport seasons and event calendars.
02
Performance and longevity, not just pain relief
PRP and Class IV laser are foundational tools for tendinopathy, joint preservation, and recovery support. Hormone optimization for men and women is paired with longevity and performance goals, not just symptom management.
03
Same-week consultation, no referral required
Most new patients are seen within five to seven days. No insurance gatekeeping, no waiting on a primary care referral, no surgical-pipeline pressure.

Frequently asked questions from Short Pump patients
Answers from our clinical team.
In most cases, you will need to modify activity for one to three weeks following PRP for tennis elbow. Full play often resumes by weeks four to six, with continued improvement over weeks six to twelve. We will discuss your league schedule at the consultation and help you plan around it.
Often yes. Many patients with grade 3 or even grade 4 knee osteoarthritis can extend the life of their native knee meaningfully with hyaluronic acid, PRP, and Class IV laser as part of an integrated protocol. We are honest about cases where regenerative medicine is unlikely to delay surgery, but for many patients there is real runway before replacement.
For men with clinically low testosterone confirmed by bloodwork, TRT can support recovery, lean mass, and energy. We do not prescribe TRT without comprehensive labs and ongoing monitoring. The free consultation includes a discussion of whether testing is appropriate.
Yes. We have early-morning appointment slots designed for working parents. Schedule a free consultation to find a time that fits.
Yes. We routinely schedule couples and family members in adjacent windows. Note this when you call or book online and we will arrange the timing.
