A regenerative medicine option for southside

Joint Freedom serves Chesterfield County residents from across the southside metro: Chester and the Route 10 corridor, Bon Air and the Powhite-adjacent neighborhoods, the Hull Street and Genito Road communities, and the active-lifestyle developments along Lake Chesdin and through eastern Chesterfield.

Chesterfield is the largest county in the Richmond metro by area and one of the most diverse by community type. Our patient mix from the county reflects that range: working professionals commuting to downtown Richmond or Henrico offices, retirees managing osteoarthritis without surgery, families with school-age athletes, and patients postponing knee or hip replacement they were told they needed years ago.

Our Henrico clinic is reachable from across Chesterfield via I-95, Powhite Parkway, or Route 360. Drive time runs twenty-five to forty minutes depending on starting point. We offer the full regenerative medicine protocol library: PRP, hyaluronic acid joint injections, Class IV deep-tissue laser, hormone optimization, and medically supervised weight loss. Every protocol is delivered under the supervision of April L. Ashworth, AGPCNP-BC.

Three reasons Chesterfield residents make the drive

01

The non-surgical specialty is the difference

Chesterfield has good orthopedic options closer to home, including Chippenham and Johnston-Willis. We are not duplicating what they do. We exist as the regenerative medicine specialty practice, focused on PRP, hyaluronic acid, and Class IV laser as the protocols that come before surgery, not after it.

02

Patient experience built around your time

We schedule with realistic Chesterfield-to-Henrico drive times in mind. We offer early morning, mid-day, and select evening slots. We do not over-book and we do not waste your visit time.

03

Honest about whether we can help

Not every patient who walks in is a regenerative medicine candidate. We are direct about that from the consultation. If your case is better served by surgery, physical therapy, or another specialty, we will tell you and refer you appropriately.

Frequently asked questions from Chesterfield patients

Answers from our clinical team.

We hear this question often. The honest answer is that for first consultations and procedural visits, yes, in-person time with the clinical team is the difference. For some routine follow-ups, phone or telehealth is appropriate. We will tell you when you need to come in and when you do not. Many of our most loyal patients are from southern Chesterfield.

Yes. Recurrent post-surgical pain after total joint replacement is common in our practice. PRP, Class IV laser, and other regenerative protocols are commonly used in patients with prior surgical history. A free consultation walks through what is appropriate for your case.

Yes. We accommodate shift workers with early morning, late afternoon, and select evening appointments. Tell us your schedule when you call.

Generally, no. Most protocols recommend a four- to six-week wait between cortisone and PRP, since cortisone can suppress the regenerative response. Two months is sufficient. We will review your timing at the consultation.

PRP, hyaluronic acid, and Class IV laser may be HSA-eligible depending on plan rules. We provide itemized receipts for every visit. We recommend confirming with your HSA administrator.

Your First Visit

Your first visit is a free thirty-minute consultation. We review your history, evaluate your case, and discuss which treatments make sense. If we can help, we build a plan together with clear timelines, expectations, and pricing. If we are not the right fit, we tell you that honestly.
